Our journey started on January 2015 when Bill was taken to the emergency room in Delaware County Memorial hospital. He didn't feel well, couldn't hold any food, had terrible stomach aches. After running many tests we found out that Bill has stomach cancer.
As soon he was discharged from the hospital, we went to the Parelman cancer center in University of Pennsylvania.
Our hopes were to do 3 rounds of chemo, then stomach removal surgery and 3 more round of chemo afterwards to kill the remaining cancer cells.
And here we go ... Those 3 rounds had horrible side effects on Bill's body. He had uncontrolled vomiting, which led to dehydration and multiple hospital stays.
The day of the surgery came ... May 1, 2015 ... we thought it would be the turning point in Bill's treatment, and it was ... only not what we were prepared for. It was supposed to be a 7-8 hours procedure, in 3 hours the surgeon came to me saying we need to talk. I realized that he has bad news for us. When he opened up Bill, he looked underneath the stomach and saw that cancer has started spreading to the other organs. The only option for Bill is palliative chemotherapy for the rest of his life.

December 18, 2016, 2:30 am .... Our Angel got his wings. Rest in peace, Bill. Thank you for 11 most amazing years of my life. I will remember and cherish them for as long as I live. While you were taking your final breath, we were able to hug you and tell you how much we love you.
You will be missed unconditionally.

 At a time that is supposed to be filled with joy and smiles, Mary and Lana are overcome with grief and anxiety.
