Hi! My name is Saig and I love animals. I have had animals in my life for as long as I can remember. Having grown up primarily cats, it felt natural when I was out on my own to adopt. Ten years ago, I rescued my first cat of my own. His name is Jasper.
Jasper was about a year old when he came to me. He was secretly everyone's favorite at the shelter and I was immediately in love with him. Jasper has been by my side through thick and thin, he is my best friend.
Jasper came to me with special dietary needs but other than that he was a healthy boy. In 2021, Jasper had his first major health scare since I adopted him. He had chronic blockages, common in male cats, and had a Perineal urethrostomy (PU) surgery to remedy this issue. Thankfully, up until now, he has been a healthy boy again.
Jasper is getting older now and with that comes more health concerns. Right now, he is struggling with tooth pain. We started noticing Jasper "chewing on air" and took him to the vet immediately. The vet suspects it is a tooth that has gone bad and is irritating him. We got a quote and tried everything in our power to save up for our boy, but have not been able to afford such a sudden major procedure of this size.
Today, we realized we have saved up barely a quarter of what is needed to help Jasper feel more comfortable. Its time to ask for help.
These funds will cover:
Quoted dental surgery: $4,500
