Cancer Comfort Only a Sock Could Give

They’re a little bit of “I can beat this.” And a little can go a long way.

I’ve seen so many other fighters in their treatment room recliners, hooked up to their IVs, all looking for whatever small comforts they can find. That’s really all you can ask for on this trip. Small gestures make a big difference. For me it’s socks, interesting socks. They provide comfort in so many different ways. To begin with, putting on socks is one of the first things you do in the morning so they can really set the tone for your whole day. For example:

• “Peggy’s Cove” – memories of a great family trip

• “The Beatles” – a reminder you have the friends to help you get by

• “Outdoor Scene” – a reminder of the beauty around you

And so many more.

With their comfort in mind, I have designed a “Cancer Socks!” custom sock to distribute to cancer patients, and I'm asking you to help make this possible. We're not looking to add a new oncology wing to Central City Hospital, so every bit will help. I just want to pass a little comfort on to the next guy.
