Goku isn’t just my cat—he’s my baby.
I don’t have children, and my pets are where I pour all of my love and maternal energy. Goku has been my comfort, my routine, and my constant companion. He means everything to me, and the thought of losing him is something I’m still trying to process.
Recently, Goku was diagnosed with Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), and it has already begun affecting his brain and bone marrow. After working closely with the vet and seeing how quickly things have progressed, I’ve had to come to the heartbreaking reality that this isn’t something he’s going to recover from.
Right now, my focus is on keeping him comfortable, managing his symptoms, and making sure his remaining time is filled with as much love, peace, and dignity as possible.
So far, I’ve already spent $1,700 on emergency care and diagnostic testing just to understand what was happening. Moving forward, there will still be costs for medications, supportive care, and eventually end-of-life services to make sure he doesn’t suffer.
I’m doing everything I can for him, but the financial weight of this, on top of the emotional toll, is overwhelming.
If you’re able to help in any way—whether that’s donating or simply sharing—please know that you are helping me give my baby the comfort and care he deserves in his final chapter. Any funds beyond his immediate care will go toward laying him to rest peacefully.
Thank you for taking the time to read Goku’s story, and for any kindness, support, or love you can send our way.
