For a number of years, I've been haunted by depression and mental health issues, which has impacted my everyday life and relationships ... I've had a series of admissions to hospital, and, for the most part, with the love and support of super family and friends, I got the help I needed to pick myself up and get back to the business of living life.  A lot of days its a real struggle, but thankfully, I'm in a good place currently ...

However, during my last hospital stay - just a year ago now - I became aware that many people in my situation are not so fortunate to have such strong support ... there are people who literally have no one to visit the or help with the little comforts that make a hospital stay bearable ... like access to personal care products, clothes & pjs, art and stationery supplies, phone credit, a hairdo or a swim or cup of coffee and a bar of chocolate on day leave or a Friday night modest takeaway meal delivered to the hospital ward.

Mindful of this, I decided to set up this Go Fund Me Page in an attempt to raise funds for "Comfort Care Treats" for my local Roscommon Hospital Mental Health Unit ... I know that any funds raised would be an enormous light in the dark to service users and would be so well and graciously received by inpatients and would be dispensed smartly to achieve the most benefit to patients.
