All funds will go directly to veterinary care for Silas's oral cleaning and tooth extractions. He needs to be placed under anesthesia for this procedure, which is one reason why the cost is high. I will be so grateful when he can finally eat without pain.

Help Silas Eat Comfortably Again

Times are tight for so many of us right now, and asking for help doesn’t come easily — but our sweet senior cat, Silas, truly needs it.

Silas has been part of our family since 2012. I’ve been lucky enough to love and care for him his entire life, and right now he’s struggling. He’s having a lot of trouble eating, and watching him try — and fail — to be comfortable is heartbreaking.

The vet estimates his treatment could cost anywhere from $1,200 to $3,000, depending on what they find once they’re able to get in and properly evaluate what’s going on. Our biggest hope is to raise enough quickly so we can move forward with care right away, but even raising enough to cover the initial evaluation would mean everything.

Silas is a gentle, handsome love bug who deserves to feel safe, comfortable, and pain-free. We want to give him the best quality of life possible — this is just a little more than we can manage financially right now.
