Comfort and Care for Roxann’s Final Journey

Roxann is a gardening enthusiast, a fiercely independent spirit, and the kind of woman who could turn even the wildest patch of land into a beautiful, thriving garden. She is funny, caring, strong, and has been not only a mother, devoted wife, and loving grandmother but a best friend to her family for a lifetime.

Until last year, she was healthy, active, and spent nearly every day outdoors doing what she loved most.

But in February of 2025, at just 51 years old, Roxann experienced a migraine that lasted three days, something completely out of the ordinary for her. A CT scan revealed a mass in her brain, and soon after she was diagnosed with glioblastoma, a highly aggressive grade 4 brain tumor located in her temporal-parietal lobe. This cancer is one of the most common malignant brain tumors, yet treatment options have seen little progress in decades. Even with the most aggressive treatment, the median survival rate is only 10-15 months.

Life changed instantly.

Roxann underwent brain surgery in late February to remove the tumor, followed by an intense course of radiation and chemotherapy. While we prayed and hoped for healing, a follow-up MRI that summer showed the tumor had returned... this time twice as large. It was no longer operable, and ongoing chemotherapy was only able to keep it stable.

Over the months, the effects of the cancer slowly took more and more from her. She lost much of her eyesight, her energy, parts of her memory, and struggled with emotional changes and constant headaches. The ER visits and hospital stays became a part of "normal" life. Still, she fought bravely each day and continued to find moments of joy and gratitude, leaning on faith and the love of those around her.

In December of 2025, severe back pain and muscle spasms caused her to lose mobility, leading to an eight-day hospital stay and a period in a skilled nursing facility for physical therapy. While there was some physical improvement, being away from home took a heavy toll on her overall well-being.

Now, one year after her diagnosis, Roxann is 52 years young, and is being brought home on hospice care so she can spend her remaining time surrounded by family, comfort, and the peace that comes from knowing God is with her.

We are fundraising to help with overwhelming medical bills, hospice-related expenses not fully covered by insurance, and the cost of in-home caregiving support.

We are also hoping to ease the financial burden so the family can spend this precious time together, focusing on love, prayer, and making memories, rather than worrying about finances.

It takes so much to care for a loved one at the end of life: emotionally, physically, and financially, and unfortunately none of those costs change the outcome.

Our greatest prayer is for Roxann to spend the last of the beautiful life she was granted with dignity, comfort, and peace, and for her family to feel God’s strength and provision during this season.

Any donation, prayer, or share is a blessing and means more than words can express.
