Comfort and Care for Mom’s Heart Recovery

Hey everyone, thank you for taking the time to read this and thank you in advance for donating, sharing and sending us your positive thoughts.

Back in September 2025 my mom suffered a massive heart attack while she was visiting her sister in Mexico. We are extremely grateful that my tia was able to act fast and take my mom to get medical help. While at the hospital in Mexico, it was determined that she was having a heart attack and would require a pace macker. My mom declined the surgery there and wanted to come home to get it done here. Again, super grateful that my tia had the resources to hire an ambulance to drive them to the border and wait for my uncle to drive in from Houston. 3 hour ambulance ride to the border, 6 hours from Houston to the border and 6 hours back.
Wow...
The whole time my mom was literally fighting for her life. She is one tough cookie though and did not give up.
They finally made it home and straight to the hospital that is literally down the street from our homes. My mom walked in as if nothing was happening, cracking jokes as always with the doctors and nurses all while actively having a heart attack and 22 pulses per minute. Always the life of the party. She earned the nicknames, Zombie Lady and The Miracle Lady.
She was quickly taken in for surgery and it was a great success.
We are forever grateful for the quick action of those nurses and doctors. They made my mom and us feel safe during this horrible event.
I made the decision to drop everything and move in with my mom during her recovery. I can never thank my partner enough nor my amazing work crew for being super supportive and holding it down while I was gone.
Fast forward to now, May 2026. I took my mom in for a scheduled 6 month post surgery check up and her cardiologist found that her heart was not where it needed to be at this point. Come to find, she had 2 blood clots blocking at the fork of her left artery and in need of a bypass surgery. She ended up getting a triple bypass. Super scary stuff but now we are in recovery!
Yet again, we find ourselves having to drop everything to make sure she makes a full recovery and stays on track.
I would love to be able to make her home a bit more comfortable while she recovers and fix up her car. Thus I am asking for some help to make that possible for her since I won't be working for a while and won't have the funds to acquire such things for her.
Anything truly helps, thank you all so much for your time.
My mom and I after one of her appointments.
