My mom is one of the most caring people I know. She has always had a special place in her heart for children, especially babies and little kids—something I think I inherited from her. Throughout her life, she’s collected wild stories from her many adventures, and she’s always been there to help us however she could. Making her family comfortable was always her priority, and now we want to return that love and care to her.
On March 13th, my mom was diagnosed with cancer on and around her liver and spine. It’s devastating to say, but she is reaching the end of her life. Her greatest wish is to spend her remaining days at home, surrounded by family, and we are doing everything we can to honor that. Unfortunately, the financial strain of providing the care and supplies she needs is overwhelming for us all. We need things like a baby monitor, adult diapers, underpads for the bed, new bedding, pajamas that are easy to put on and take off, a shower chair, and comfort items like creams and lotions. While some of these may eventually be covered by insurance, we are still waiting for that support to come through.
If we are fortunate enough to raise more than we need for her immediate care, any extra funds will go toward giving her the best possible comfort and dignity in her final days, as well as covering end-of-life expenses and caring for her home and property. Thank you so much to anyone who can help support us during this unimaginably hard time. Your kindness means the world to our family and will help us give my mom the peace and comfort she deserves.
