Cooper came into my life at three months old. He's become a part of who I am and has provided not only myself but my family with his unconditional love over the course of 9 years.
Just yesterday, 4/7/2026, Cooper was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Words can't even describe the feeling I felt when the doctor gave us the news. Cooper is my best friend; he's my baby, and in that moment, I felt helpless. It's us against this disease.
Cooper very much disliked the doctors; each visit caused him stress and anxiety. So with that said, now that we know what we're up against, we decided to bring him home and make him comfortable here rather than put him through the discomfort of undergoing chemo. Just like everyone in this world, times are tough, but we're doing all we can to make Cooper enjoy the time he chooses to have here with us while the medication alleviates the pain and discomfort.
If at all possible, we would appreciate any help that will go towards his medications and visits to the doctor. Thank you all in advance for being a part of Coop's life; he holds each and every one of you in his heart forever!
