John Liston and Michael Delahunty, in support of Cuan Saor Women's Refuge and Support Services, are undertaking a charity run over the Comeragh Mountains, on October 16th 2021. The motivation for this event comes as a result of Cuan Saor Women's Refuge and Support Services not being able to fund-raise and raise awareness like so many services in the last 18 months due to Covid-19. They also have huge admiration for the service and the amazing work they continue to do for women and children experiencing domestic abuse.

The run will begin in Dungarvan Square, continue over the Comeragh Mountains, ensuring they hit as many peaks as possible, reaching the highest point along the way and finishing in Clonmel.

Both John and Michael have been training hard and running trails in preparation for this event, with the support of Elevate Gym in Clonmel. Elevate have kindly developed training plans and are providing ongoing support, giving advice when needed. Enerpower will generously provide the support car for both runners on the day so as to ensure they are safe and well at all times along the route.

• Support and information (drop-in or by appointment)
• Counselling
• Outreach to designated clinics in South Tipperary area
• Court Accompaniment Service

• Training and Awareness-raising
• Child and Family Support

Like many charities and services, Covid-19 has had a devastating effect on all fundraising and awareness raising events & campaigns. Funds raised from this event would go towards our Art & Play Therapy programmes as well as counselling and childcare services, for both women and children who use the service. Cuan Saor are incredibly grateful to both John & Michael for offering to undertake such a strenuous event and run and appreciate all donations made on their behalf.
