Kaagtali: Comedy and Insight: Nepal's Diverse Voices
Donation protected
Kaagtali by Nabin Chandra Aryal is a comedic portrayal of the
fragility of the mask of human needs, desires, and wants. It
shows a mirror to the dual nature of humans’ core psychic needs
like power, love, and lust. Exploring the fear and boundaries of
female psychology, the project helps to kindle the drive for
feminine sexuality in today’s world. Through female characters,
the play successfully deciphers the male and female
perspectives on the same incident of life that often demands
more carefulness. During those times of peak awareness,
female psychology is said to be withdrawn from action.
However, it shows at what length the female intuition, intellect,
and drive go to protect someone they care for and admire. The
play is full of a diverse cast, which represents the sociological,
ethnic, and economic classes of Nepalese society.
