Comedian Edgar Rivera "Needs Our Help" Fundraiser.

As some of you may already know, On December 9th my brother Edgar Rivera took a hard fall down a flight of stairs. This has put his career on hold. On December 23rd he had an emergency surgery to correct a complete tear of his quad tendon. His recovery after surgery has been difficult, but he's finally just got the thumbs up to start rehab in which the hopes are to get at least 75% mobility/function. The long road to recovery is just beginning! Being down for the count, far away from family in NY and unable to do what he loves has been hard on him. It's both a physical and mental struggle. With that said, he has not been able to perform/work for 2 months now and is looking at 2 to 4 months of rehab therapy to come. He helps people by giving them the best medicine, but now he could really use our help. Let's let him know that he is loved and that we got his back!
My brother Edgar has been a comedian for 16 years now. If you know him personally, have crossed paths with him or allowed him to you make you laugh, you know he is as down to earth as they come. He will do anything to cheer you up and put a smile on your face. He truly believes laughter is the best medicine. On a personal note, I think he's great at it! For me he's the same on stage as he's in our family gatherings. At times, most of us think we're also comedians. We are very happy and proud at all that he has achieved in his comedy career and want him to know how much we love and support him. He will be back on that stage in no time.
