Come together to help the Rice family

For the passing of a Father of two and a devoted family man, who has left us unexpectedly. Please come together and help this wonderful family in one of the most painful times a family can experience. For those who didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Rice (“Big G”), he was simply someone who would never fail to put a smile on your face, no matter what kind of day you’re having. Someone who personally never failed to make me laugh and that I cherished every moment with.

The kind of man who would never take a sick day from work, even if he was hacking up a lung or had a beat red face, just so he could have things done the way they should around the shop. I personally can’t recall many times I’ve walked in the garage at Rice house without seeing one of the cars or bikes in the middle of it, as he’d proceed to give me the full run down of what’s wrong and I’d pretend I knew what the heck he was talking about, maybe hand him a tool or two, start the car and flick the high beams or just see if it will run. I’d often find myself sitting in the garage with him for good while just talking with him before Grant would even know I was at his house. Never mattered what he had going on that day or that week, he always went out of his way to see how I was doing or what I have been up to since he last saw me. I personally regret and wish I was around more the past couple months to have seen him more but it’s tough growing up, everyone wants to be a kid forever and it’s unfortunate situations like these that make us grow up so fast.

This is one of the best family I’ve had the pleasure of being around as I grew up around them, as many others who grew up with Grant Jr. and Stella would say.

Truly anything will help this amazing family in a tough time of grieving. Please come together as a community, friends, and family to help these awesome people out!
