Update from Rachael:

“As most of you know I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction last Monday. I was told that if I had to pick a breast cancer this is the one to get. It’s early, and contained in my milk duck. The mastectomy was my option to secure the reoccurrence was minimal to none. I got my path report back yesterday that yes I have DCIS (very early cancer) and while checking the rest of my tissue they found invasive carcinoma. This was never seen on my biopsy. My doctor was so confident that my path report would come back good.

So I now need to have my lymph nodes biopsy in a couple of weeks (bc my doctor is on vacation). Find a local oncologist and heal from those surgeries to begin a year of chemo. And be possibly radiation. Pray for my family!”

Our sweet friend and dedicated teacher at Hamilton Christian School has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is a selfless woman who has always given to others without hesitation-and now she needs our support.

The costs of medical treatments, travel to appointments, and lodging during out-of-town care are overwhelming.
