Jacky has been an inspiring force and a leader throughout her career, always supporting her teams and being a champion for diversity in the workplace. As a single mother she raised a beautiful daughter and a handsome son. And as a devoted daughter, she advocated and fought shoulder to shoulder with her mother to battle pancreatic cancer.

Recently, Jacky was diagnosed with stomach cancer and will be undergoing life-saving treatment. Jacky needs our help. The funds from this GoFundMe will help provide financial security so that Jacky can focus her incredible energy on healing, on her family, and for once, on herself.

Jacky's optimism and her boundless faith in the good around her have guided her through her life and have been a bright light for everyone who has met her. In this moment, Jacky is taking on yet another challenge, with hope, with her positive attitude, and with the perseverance that have been so characteristic of her.

Months ago, in the depth of the COVID pandemic and the dark days of the BLM protests, Jacky gave all of us a taste of her mother's teachings. She wrote that while she was growing up her mother used to say to her - “Echa para adelante mija, y no dejes que nada o nadie te detenga”. So to translate, “ Keep going forward girl and don’t let anything or anyone detain you.”  No matter how hard it can get at times, just keep going!
