Help me make my dream of basketball a reality

My name is Madiar Chipuowuop and for as long as I can remember, life has been about survival.
I had to grow up fast, too fast. I was just a kid when I started taking on adult responsibilities. My three brothers and I lived without our parents, and my oldest brother, still, a child himself, had to become the head of our household. Together, we made it work. At a young age, I was helping pay rent, bills, and keeping us afloat while trying to hold on to school and my dreams.
I haven’t seen my mum in 13 years, and it’s a pain that sits quietly with me every single day. Growing up without her has left a hole in my life that nothing has been able to fill. I’ve faced some of my hardest moments without her comfort, and celebrated some of my biggest wins without hearing her voice. There have been so many times I would have given anything just for a hug, to tell her how training went, or just to sit in silence and feel safe beside her. I’ve had to grow, fall, learn, and fight without the person I needed most.
That absence hasn’t just left scars ! it’s also lit a fire in me. It’s pushed me to work harder, to make every sacrifice count, to become someone she would be proud of. I carry her with me in everything I do, and that pain fuels my purpose, to build a future where struggle isn’t the whole story. Through it all, I’ve never let go of the dream to create something better for myself through education and sport.
Today, I’m proud to share that I’ve officially committed to a school in the USA to continue my academic and athletic journey. This is a life-changing opportunity, one I’ve sacrificed so much for. But now, I need your help to make it real.
Your donation can help cover travel, housing, equipment, and essentials I need to start this new chapter. No amount is too small. Every dollar is a step toward a dream that’s finally within reach.
Please consider donating, sharing, and being part of this journey with me. I promise to give it everything I’ve got, to make you, and everyone back home, proud.
Thank you for believing in me
