Combat Veteran in need. Please help out
Donation protected
My brother in law Pete is a dad, husband, police officer and veteran. Pete served in the United States Army from 1994-2008 serving in the Middle East, Africa and Bosnia. He is currently employed as a Department of Defense police officer having continued to serve his country. He has received medals and awards from his heroism and bravery in Iraq and other middle eastern countries that can’t be mentioned on go fund me . Because of his time in combat, he has suffered several injuries including but not limited to a TBI (traumatic brain injury) and shrapnel embedded in his back from an IED while serving. He has been suffering as of late with multiple seizures (3 in one week) and debilitating back pain. Come to find out that his vertebrae is fractured from the explosion, and the damage caused by the TBI is now considered degenerative. Pete is going to have to hang up his badge for good at the young age of 44. In his time of need unfortunately the government is dragging their heels with treatment in an overcrowded VA healthcare system. Also applying for and receiving medical retirement from the army takes time and unfortunately there isn’t any income during this time. Dehlia and Pete have exhausted savings fairly quickly, as having four kids is expensive! We are asking for any help at this time, every little bit helps. In a time of inflation and economic crisis, we know everyone is stretched thin. But if you could consider helping a veteran in need we would so appreciate it!
