Hello,

In the aftermath of Hurricane Idalia, families throughout Florida were impacted. However, for some the impact will be incalculable. Our friend Korey, fellow Army veteran and his family, watched as the Hurricane Idalia approached our coast and like many wondered whether it would have a direct impact on Tampa Bay. Korey, recently separated from the Military, purchased their first home in Shore Acres of St Pete., a little over a year ago after his first son was born. As they watched the storm pass - heading north with less than expected wind and rain, they believed the worst had passed them. Korey captured on video that evening as the waters began to rise. First, into the yard. Then later, into the home. There was nothing they could do but evacuate. When they returned, the home was completely flooded with most of their prized possessions and belongings ruined. With nearly nothing left, they now look to rebuild, and they need our help to do it.

The Veteran community is a small tight knit group, who without hesitation will take care of others who have served. But we are hoping to rally the broader community around Korey and his family and support him as they have for us.

All funds raised will go directly to the family to support their rebuilding efforts, replacing household items, and necessities for their two children.
