Columbia Scholastic Press Association Convention
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Nevaeh Castro and I am a Senior at Antelope High School. In Fall of 2022, I joined the yearbook program at my school to try something new. Through my hard work, I was named one of four yearbook editors this year. My program now has the opportunity to attend the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Convention (CSPA) in New York City.
The CSPA invites high school students and faculty advisers to attend and participate in CSPA’s 99th annual Spring Scholastic Convention. This national gathering of student editors and faculty advisers to newspapers, yearbooks, magazines, video productions, and online media will be held at Columbia University from Wednesday, March 15 through Friday, March 17, 2023.
I will be traveling with my school and need to raise funds for flight, hotel, transportation, meals, and convention registration fees.
What this opportunity means to me:
I moved to Antelope High my senior year and I was so nervous to start over.
I decided I wasn't going to let that hold me back and was determined to work hard and make the best of my senior year. I joined the cheer team and dance program and tried something new with yearbook.
I now have the opportunity to travel to New York City with my classmates, which I am so excited about.
Thank you for taking the time to read a small piece of my story. I appreciate any support you can provide. Love you all!
