After a long day of fasting, it can be difficult to attend late night Taraweeh prayers. This is even harder for DC residents who rely on public transportation to get around. Last Ramadan, a group of community members with Yaro Collective organized Taraweeh Prayers in Columbia Heights.
This year, your support will help Yaro Collective build upon that success. In addition to Taraweeh prayers, we provide a platform for community members to give short khatirahs each night. We will also be hosting qiyams throughout Ramadan to provide additional opportunities for prayer, reflection, and community-building.
No amount is too small so please give whatever you can.
If interested you can:
- Sponsor one night of Taraweeh for $100
- Sponsor one night of Qiyam for $350
Insha'Allah these funds will be used to cover the cost of space rental, building security and supplies (prayer rugs etc).
