Colton Wray was diagnosed with anaplastic Ependymoma (stage 3 brain cancer) in 2015 at just five years old. He had a complete resection and 33 rounds of radiation. His family started him on a cannabis treatment as soon as they could, and he thrived. Doctors were amazed at how well he recovered.
After four years of cannabis treatment his team decided to lessen the amount of THC and only administer CBD. Unfortunately, Colton‘s cancer returned three short months later. In September 2019, Colton had his second brain surgery to remove a new tumor. Colton did well after surgery again and his family hoped he was on the road to recovery.
But in November 2019 (during the first scan after his second resection) his doctors noticed an “enhancement” in the same location but on a different side. They have have been monitoring the spot for the past year.
At his most recent scan in November 2020, the doctors told the family the spot looks to have grown from 3mm to 6 mm. The doctor doesn’t feel it is time to go in and resect right now because it’s too small and is still technically “unknown matter.”
However, Colton’s family spends about $5,000 every three months for his cannabis cancer protocol and needs help to continue to afford this treatment. Brittany, "Mom" is a small business owner in downtown Barrington and unfortunately, the state of the world has greatly impacted her ability to keep her shop open consistently this year. Colton's family is confident that his cannabis treatment can continue to work for him, and has been such a blessing to his treatment outside of his other his diet and lifestyle choices.
Colton is a strong, bright 10 year old and is such a brave fighter. He takes a minimum of eight giant supplements per day, eats under 9g of sugar per day, uses essential oils (like frankincense and sandalwood), gets laser therapy, detox baths, meditates, and stays very active.
He loves school, playing with his neighborhood buddies, building Legos, making movies, and creating the most inventive things out of empty boxes and household scrap items.
Colton is extremely cooperative and has the best attitude to conquer this next battle. But we need your help. During this very giving Holiday Season, please consider helping his family so that he can continue his treatments and be back on the road to good health!
