Help for Colton's Cancer Crusade

Donation protected
Please come together to support Colton Farrell with his pediatric cancer battle! On November 21, 2017, then five-year-old Colton, of Marble, was diagnosed with Medulloblastoma, a cancerous brain tumor often found in children. Over the past two and a half years, Colton’s journey has taken unexpected turns, particularly with the cancer spreading to his spine. He has undergone countless treatments including chemotherapy, radiation and proton therapy. He has lost his hair numerous times, and the side effects of the chemo can only be described as horrific, but despite being just a young child, Colton has always found a way to regain his strength and persevere. Since the summer of 2019, Colton has been considered free of cancer, until last week when a routine MRI showed that “bright spots” on his brain and spine are changing, concerning his doctors that the cancer has returned. Colton, now 8, must again begin chemotherapy, consisting of 12 cycles, each cycle being 28 days with chemo administered during 15 days of each cycle. This regimen is nearly one full year, 336 days with 180 of those for chemo, and the treatments will require constant travel from Marble to Grand Junction, as well as regular trips to Denver for additional monitoring and MRI's. This will be agonizing for Colton to endure, and it will also be emotionally excruciating for his parents and younger brother, Torin. Additionally, it is unlikely that Colton’s parents, Nicole a local bookkeeper, and Kevin a farrier, will be able to maintain their small businesses during the course of his treatment. The Covid-19 crisis has presented additional challenges, and not just for the Farrell family, but for everyone in our community. However, if you would please consider supporting this family during Colton's new and difficult chapter in what has already been an unimaginable struggle, your support would be appreciated beyond what any words can express.
