Colton’s Brain Tumor Warriors
Please help support Colton and his family as he faces a brain tumor and upcoming surgery.
Dear friends,
Colton, Harmony and Richard’s 6 year old son, was just diagnosed with a Craniopharyngioma - a type of brain tumor. These tumors are not malignant (cancer) per se, but they are difficult to remove. It sits in the center of his brain where his pituitary gland should be and grows up near his hypothalamus, which makes surgery challenging. He will have to have surgery to remove some of the tumor which will relieve the pressure on his optic chiasm which is vital for his vision. He will need to have radiation following surgery to further shrink the tumor close to delicate structures.
If you’ve ever been in the same room as Colton, then you know Colton! You’d know a magnanimous, social, energetic, interestingly brilliant young man. You’d know you that you just might not be able to predict the next thing he’s going to say - he will make you laugh and he will make you think about things differently!
And if you’ve ever known Harmony and Richard you know that they don’t just say they’d give you the shirt off of their back, they do it. They are two of the most generous, giving, accepting and resilient people I know. Harmony and Richard have been often in the position to give of their time, energy, love and finances, and they have responded with enormous generosity. They have been a literal and figurative home for so many people. They have inspiring faith and trust in God.
And now they need help as they face medical bills and life expenses that come with something like this. The timing of this also coincided with a job loss and relocating to be closer to medical care and work, increasing the need.
Thank you,
Marie and Family
