Colt and Dharma

Colt jr was born with a heart disease called tricuspid valve dysplasia which means the ventricles on the right side of his heart don’t close and are balled up little masses instead of forming like a normal valve and the right side of his heart is enlarged and pressing in his lung. After birth things were looking way better than any of the doctors or surgeons had expected so they wanted to give him time to grow for a little bit before undergoing surgery. We have been informed that the function in his heart has decreased drastically and is now struggling to beat but when it does his blood flow switches directions for a little bit then stops functioning again properly for a little bit then flows the other direction and doctors are unsure about what’s causing so at this point we’re waiting on him to put on ECMO which is a form of life support that bypasses the heart and flows the blood through is body and lungs and the next step will be a heart transplant because it’s coming down to no other option. We are in the process now of having him put on a heart transplant waiting list so all we can do is be here for him and help make sure he’s comfortable as we wait hoping to find a heart as fast as possible. Colt and Dharma are staying at the Ronald McDonald house and will be staying for 90 days after the transplant but have not been given a date so if you feel lead to give it would be greatly appreciated for any necessary expenses that come up and if you can't please share share share!
