Col's Send Off

Hi folks, I'm Col's sister Lisa and I'm fundraising to help pay for my brother's funeral expenses.
Our Colin left us this last Xmas Eve morning after fighting with a brain tumour for the last five months. He was diagnosed terminally ill in July 2020 and endured two brain surgeries , multiple thrombosis and seizures. He left us so suddenly after his last surgery just a week before he passed and we were not prepared for the devastation of losing him let alone the high cost of a funeral.
Our Col didn't have the funds put away and so the cost falls on the rest of the family who are struggling to raise enough to cover the deposit let alone the whole cost for the funeral. We can't set a date yet due to not having enough funds and we want to give our Colin the send off he deserves to honour his memory, say our last goodbyes and set his soul free.
As most of you will already know, Colin was one of a kind and leaves behind three daughters, three grandchildren, two sisters, a brother, his mum and long term partner. He was also a good friend to many, touching the lives of those around him with his uniqueness and has been an inspiration to some. He leaves behind a hole that no one can fill and was a true gentleman with a gentle soul. He was and hopefully will be again, a free spirit as well as being a bit of a rebel but he was one of the most intelligent and unique characters - who worshipped his family.
My family and I are hoping to try raise as much as we can to cover the deposit at least and we can officially set a date. Due to the pandemic and recent lockdown we are finding it more difficult to make arrangements. We are split across West Yorkshire and the East Coast where Colin was living and we keep hitting numerous hurdles. Our mum is shielding.
The whole cost of the funeral is £3,752.00 and we have kept that to a minimum. We may be entitled to a government grant but that will only cover part of the costs. I am asking for any amount of donations as any amount will help our family during this distressing time. If by any chance we receive more than the cost of the funeral, I will donate the rest to Macmillan. They have been a huge support to Colin and us.
