We are working to produce face masks which are reusable and washable for repeat usage. These masks are intended to help protect the people who wear them and those around them from the further spread of the virus. We are following the protocols used for the H1N1 masks for the materials, construction, and assembly of these masks. Our masks are made from polycotton and polypropylene materials. The polypropylene acts as a moisture barrier to help block out droplets. Our goal is to keep our seamstresses busy with work, and to allow them to contribute their sewing expertise towards this important cause.
We are asking for financial donations to help us cover the cost of materials and to help us ramp up production of the masks.
We are focusing on donating masks to our community including supplying them to Colorado Crafting for a Cause, a local volunteer organization which delivers them directly to assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals in need, and more. All GoFundMe donations help cover our production costs for these masks which we will be donating.
