Colorado Captain was robbed

UPDATE: Well amazing friends, we've done it. Thank you all so much for letting Matt know what he means to all of us,, and how important we know his mission is. Matt and I have talked some things over, and decided to up the goal to $10,000. With the first expenses going towards a new suit, and what remains to go to charity. In a typical, non-COVID year, Matt would be riding around the country raising money. His usual annual goal for pediatric cancer research is $10,000. So let's keep sharing, and get him to his goal. Since he can't go to comic cons or visit some of the nation's children's hospitals, lets not allow COVID to beat out raising money for those kids and families that need it. This is Matt. Matt is better known as Colorado Captain. For those of you on the front range of Colorado, you've probably seen him riding his motorcycle, with his big smile, strong salute, and Cap's signature shield. Where to even start? Do I tell you that Colorado Captain has been riding cross country for the past four years, raising money for pediatric cancer research? From San Diego to New York, he has raised $25,000 for this cause.  This year has been tough on everyone, and Colorado Captain is no exception. Earlier this year, the engine froze on Cap's Harley motorcycle, but that didn't stop him from organizing the Parade for Heroes during Memorial Day weekend. He rented a motorcycle, with his own money and traveled from Fort Collins to Castle Rock, parading with a great group of people through the neighborhoods of families whose kiddos are fighting cancer.  Since his motorcycle is out of commission, he had good enough friends to loan him a vehicle to commute to and from work. Yesterday, someone broke into that vehicle and stole the Captain America suit and shield.  He was able to recover some of these pieces, but they are badly torn up. The helmet is destroyed and the gloves are gone. This man, whom I am so very proud to call my friend, needs our help. He gives without thought, he cares with all his heart, and he feels with all his soul. A man  who truly deserves a break. A man so humble that he won't ask for help with his situation because he thinks he doesn't deserve it... Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Colorado Captain, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. More information about Colorado Captain: For nearly four years, 501c3 non-profit charity personality “Colorado Captain,” a.k.a. Denver native Matt Gnojek, has been rolling all over the Denver Metro area. Dressed as our favorite star-spangled super hero, Colorado Captain mounts his Harley Davidson, and rides daily in order to raise funds for charitable causes, and bring smiles to young and old throughout the Mile High City and across America.
