Colorado Avalanche Sled Hockey Association

Hi Everyone! I am trying to raise money for an incredible organization, Colorado Avalanche Sled Hockey. When I had my amputation, I struggled with self-confidence and the new reality of living a different life than most. Fortunately, I found a fantastic outlet in this organization. I have only been involved for a year, but it has been a huge blessing. Not only do I have a fantastic time playing hockey, but I have met amazing people who have inspired me. This organization gives individuals living with disabilities the ability to be part of a team, build self-confidence, play a fantastic sport and meet people who are going through some of the same struggles as yourself. Colorado Sled Hockey is one of the largest sled hockey organizations in the country. We field three adult teams and a youth team. Traveling to tournaments around the country with four teams is very expensive.

I am raising money to try and help offset some of those costs, as well as give the organization funds to purchase more equipment, which will allow more kids and adults to play. Adaptive sports equipment is not cheap and can be a massive barrier for kids and adults trying to get involved and learn to play sled hockey.

One of the coolest parts of this organization is its youth program. Many young kids with severe disabilities can play a sport through this organization. The smile on their faces when being pushed in a sled is special. I want this organization to be able to continue the youth program and give access to more kids to join.

Please check out our website Colorado Sled Hockey for more information on the organization. I appreciate any donation that you can make; it will make a huge difference!
