Colon Cancer Surgery Bill

Hey, it’s me Troy Collins! Hey everyone! This is an unfortunate announcement to make. During Thanksgiving week my wife and I found out I’ll need immediate surgery to remove my colon. Going to keep this to the point. I’ve battled 2 chronic intestinal diseases called Chron’s and Ulcerative Colitis for 16 years, since I was only 12 years old. I never gave up and have gone through all types of medicine treatments, shots, infusions, chemo, diets, and many many operations/tests.

16 years later it never got better and unfortunately got worse. The doctor just confirmed my cells throughout my colon are turning into colon cancer. Luckily it was caught, but now I have to get a major surgery done to remove my entire colon and live with a colostomy bag forever.

My wife and I are expecting our first child, a sweet baby girl, later this month around Christmas! I now have to get surgery done just a couple weeks after she’s born. Unfortunately even with insurance the surgery is very expensive. So we have set up a GoFundMe to help cover the surgery costs. Link is in my bio.
