Update: I am now unemployed because my fmla is exhausted and I still have another 8 weeks before I will be able to return to work.
I'm still dealing with my cancer issues (and bills), our rent has gone up about $350, and now I'm unemployed. I honestly don't know what to do at this point. I know everyone is strapped at this time, and there are any number of people in need, but when will we get the much needed hand up?
Due to the absurdity of life and complications with insurance legalese, I will not be getting the money we desperately need to cover life expenses for the foreseeable future.
Between my employer docking my pay by 40% (short-term disability payout) and then demanding that I continue to pay for my insurance (even though I'm not currently working at full pay) or lose my coverage, and my insurance denying my critical illness claim (because I received treatment in the last twelve months for the same cause), we are basically living on Todd/Sean-Patrick's paycheck and what minimal funds I have left. I know the goal is lofty, but so is the cost of living when you sit down and calculate everything, not to mention everything else life throws at you like a Nolan Ryan curveball out of left field.
