My dear friend Andi was just shockingly diagnosed with colon cancer after doctors discovered two large, malignant tumors.

After going to urgent care the weekend of 10/3 for stomach issues, Andi has been in the hospital ever since and is really missing being home with her new puppy Biscuit and partner Eric. She’s now undergone major surgery to remove almost her entire colon and a large portion of her small intestine (but the good news is, they think they got all of the cancer!!).

Unfortunately, Andi doesn’t have health insurance and is facing a long recovery of at least 7 weeks before she can work again.

Medical bills have already exceeded $200,000, and the smallest payment plan offered is an incomprehensible $18,000 per month (like, what?? This includes a week+ hospital stay, three CT scans, colonoscopy, endoscopy, genetic testing, and more).

I’ve created this fundraiser to help with these costs, recovery expenses, and whatever treatment comes next. Truly, anything helps — whether it’s donating $5 or sharing this page with friends or on social.

Andi is one of those rare, instant connection, thank goodness I met her kind of friends. Even though we live in different states, we often feel like telepathic twins (like when we got matching tattoos without knowing it, or both quit drinking in 2020).

Thank you so much for lifting some of the financial weight off Andi’s shoulders so she can fully focus on healing, the only thing she should have to think about right now.
