Hey there!

I hope you are well and are enjoying the 2016 year so far! My name is Joshua and I am a graduate student of McMaster University's Divinity College currently finishing my final year in my theological studies.  

I am excited to share with you an opportunity that God has given me to work alongside with my local church Heartland, A Church Connected on a Mission’s trip to Bogota, Colombia.  

One of the ways Heartland, A Church Connected connects with the world is by partnering with global workers and their ministries through annual financial support and dispatching short-term missions trips around the world. These mission trips are to go out and see people's lives changed by the love of Christ. This May 2016, I will be a part of young adults ministry team that will partner with Darren and Patty McCrea in Bogota, Colombia. Much of their ministry concentrates on  young adults, students and children through school assemblies, outdoor evangelistic services and city parks, and through local churches. The need for the Gospel in that region is mandatory since much of the culture there has high drug and sex trafficking lifestyles.

Whether we get to go there or not, my prayer is to see that these young people become more captured by the love of Christ and be completely changed! Today I ask you to partner with me  to see this vision become a reality. 

All the donations for this cause are made to cover the cost of flights, accomodations and ministry materials.

As you donate, please pray with me that people in Bogata will be transformed by the Gospel in the 10 days we are there. Pray with me that the Holy Spirit would soften the hearts of all those who will hear the good news in Jesus Christ, so that they would recieve the love, joy and peace of God found in Christ. Pray with me that God will knit the hearts of our ministry team in unity with those in Bogota and that together, we would be filled with a sincere heart of love to serve.
