I am currently volunteering in the wake of the devastating 7.4-magnitude earthquake that struck our region on August 10, 2026. Across Valle del Cauca, the scale of destruction is heartbreaking entire neighborhoods have been leveled, and thousands of families have lost their homes, their security, and their basic access to clean water, food, and medical care.
As a postpartum doula and real estate professional, I see this crisis through two vital lenses: the urgent need for safe, structurally sound shelter, and the fragile vulnerability of families, including postpartum mothers, newborns, and young children navigating severe trauma without basic essentials.
While the devastation is immense, the resilience of these communities is powerful. We are not just focusing on immediate survival—we are building a foundation for long-term recovery.
How Your Support Makes an Immediate Impact
Maternal & Infant Critical Care: Distributing feeding supplies, diapers, hygiene kits, postpartum care packages, and safe baby carriers for displaced mothers.
Emergency Life Essentials: Providing potable water, non-perishable food, first aid supplies, bedding, and pet care.
Safe Shelter & Physical Rebuilding: Supplying heavy-duty tarps, temporary structural supports, and essential building materials to repair damaged homes and restore safety.
Every dollar goes directly toward getting tangible aid into the hands of affected families who need it most. Thank you for standing with the people of Colombia as we navigate this disaster, hold space for healing, and begin the work of rebuilding together.
