Colombia Earthquake: Help Families Rebuild

I woke up heartbroken, watching the images from Colombia after the earthquake of August 10, 2026.

Families lost their homes. Children may not be able to return to their schools. Entire communities are standing in front of what used to be their lives, wondering where they will sleep, how they will recover, and how they will begin again.

As a Colombian living far away, this is devastating to watch. But feeling helpless is not enough.

This fundraiser was created to help families and communities affected by the earthquake rebuild with dignity.

The first emergency response is essential, but there will also be a long road after the headlines disappear: homes to repair, families to support, schools and community spaces to recover, and lives to slowly rebuild.

We are raising funds now, while people around the world are ready to help. Over the coming days, we will carefully identify families, local initiatives, organizations, or reconstruction projects in Colombia where the money can have a real and traceable impact.

Our priority is to make sure the help reaches the right hands, especially in vulnerable and underserved communities such as Chocó.

A small act today can help a family begin again.

Thank you for standing with Colombia.

Transparency and use of funds

My name is Dahiana Parra Velasquez. I am Colombian and currently live in Switzerland, where I run Dahian Velásquez Couture GmbH. I am also the founder of Dahian Velásquez Couture S.A.S. in Colombia.

This fundraiser is created by me personally and is supported by Dahian Velásquez Couture S.A.S. in Colombia and Dahian Velásquez Couture GmbH in Switzerland.

The funds will be temporarily received by me, in Switzerland. Once the final recipients or projects are verified, the money will be transferred to selected families, local initiatives, organizations, or suppliers in Colombia.

The funds may be used for verified needs related to the earthquake, such as housing repairs or rebuilding, essential household recovery, school or community repairs, construction materials, local reconstruction support, or other recovery needs directly connected to affected families and communities.

100% of the net funds received after GoFundMe processing fees and unavoidable transfer or currency conversion costs will be allocated to verified relief, recovery, and/or reconstruction efforts in Colombia.

We will document how the funds are used and share updates through this fundraiser, including where the money goes and what it helps make possible.

Deutsch:
