Collins Family Cancer Story
Donation protected
Please help me in offering support for Scott & Shannon Collins and their family. In 2014 her husband Scott was diagnosed with Mucinous adenocarcinoma appendix. Typically, a slow growing from of cancer. Unfortunately, his version was very rare and very aggressive. He was only 30 years old at the time he was first diagnosed. It’s an amazing story as they discovered his cancer, because his appendix had completely ruptured and the tumor encapsulated the toxins from his ruptured appendix, in essence saving his life. However, this would be the beginning of a long battle for Scott, Shannon, and the whole family.
Together Scott and Shannon decided to fight this extremely rare cancer all while living life as normal as possible. They worked hard, laughed, raised their two kids and their crazy dogs. If you were around them even for a minute, chances are they made you laugh or smile.
Despite their unyielding optimism and undeniable strength, the cancer has spread throughout Scott’s body. We want Scott to know Shannon has help and support. She has two amazing kids to raise. She will need us more than ever. She will need her family and friends to help her through these dark times and show her happiness will come again.
I’m asking for help on behalf of Shannon and her family as they are going from two incomes to one and have a long journey ahead of them.
Shannon is the most wonderful friend I could ever hope to have. She is selfless. She is kind. She is funny. She works hard and is an amazing mother. Please help me support her. Every dollar raised will go to her and the kids to help them get through this unimaginable time in their lives.
