Help Build a Masjid in Collingwood

Assalamu Alaikum ورحمة الله وبركاته,

We are a group of local Muslim families and community members coming together with one shared dream: to establish a permanent masjid and Islamic community space in Collingwood, Ontario.

For years, Muslims living in and around the Collingwood and South Georgian Bay area have struggled without a local place to pray, gather, learn, and build community. Many families travel long distances for Jumu’ah prayers, Ramadan programs, Eid celebrations, Islamic classes, and community support. Some brothers and sisters pray in temporary spaces, rented halls, or even at home because there is currently no dedicated masjid serving our growing Muslim community.

Our goal is to change that.

We are launching this fundraiser to help establish the first permanent Muslim prayer and community space in Collingwood — a welcoming place for worship, education, youth programs, family gatherings, and spiritual growth for generations to come.

This masjid will, Insha’Allah, serve:

Daily prayers and Jumu’ah

Quran and Islamic education

Youth and family programs

Ramadan and Eid gatherings

Community outreach and support

A welcoming space for Muslims and visitors alike

At this stage, we are raising funds to:

Secure and rent or purchase a suitable space

Cover legal and setup costs

Renovate and prepare prayer facilities

Purchase carpets, shelves, sound systems, and basic necessities

Build a strong foundation for future growth

Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to creating a lasting home for Islam in our community. This is more than a building — it is an investment in faith, community, and future generations. We pray this becomes a source of ongoing sadaqah jariyah for everyone who supports it.
