Collin's Singing Journey to Italy
Donation protected
Hi folks!
I have recently been accepted to sing at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival in Maiori, Italy this summer from July 1st-July 13th, and I am very excited! I will be singing in a production of Puccini's Gianni Schicchi, in addition to various opera and musical theater scenes with full orchestra at various venues throughout southern Italy.
I would like to thank all of my friends and family who have helped me come thus far in my singing journey. I have performed my own compositions, and some of my recent credits include
• Rossini’s La Passeggiata (soloist in the University Chorale at Oklahoma City University)
• Mendelssohn's Christus (soloist in the University Chorale at Oklahoma City University)
• various scenes from Cosi fan tutte, Princess Ida, Le nozze di Figaro, The Magic Flute, and Frederic in the Pirates of Penzance (Collin College Opera Scenes Workshop)
My passion lies in singing and performing! I find so much joy when the music I perform transcends the audience into another world full of bliss. The conductor Murry Sidlin said in the documentary, A Defiant Requiem, that, “when common language can no longer get close to what it is we’re feeling, that’s where art begins."
I strive to break the barriers of communication and uplift my audience's existence through my performance. I have learned how to better communicate my music from the guidance of my coaches and teachers at Collin College and Oklahoma City University. I am asking for your financial support to continue on my tenor-singing journey. During my trip, I will receive vocal coachings and instruction, Italian language lessons, and master classes from world-renowned faculty from the Metropolitan Opera, Peabody Conservatory, and various other prestigious vocal music institutes. Your financial gift will help pave a way for me to serve the world through singing by covering my tuition and travel expenses. For more information regarding the festival, visit
