LOVE CONQUERS ALL

All funds collected will assist Collet and her family with medical expenses, travel & lodging from Tracy, CA. to San Francisco and to help keep her family afloat during this difficult time.

Collet is a beautiful, kind and caring person who gives selflessly. Since she had her boys, she made it her duty to love and support them to the best of her ability. She is an active volunteer at her children's school and has intiated long-lasting tranditions like coordinating the very first Kindergarten graduation and sharing the Aloha spirt by providing leis for each child. Most importantly, her family depends on her for their daily necessities like school drop-off and pick-up, homework, grocery shopping, paying bills and simple love and support. She is the glue that holds the family together, so while she fights for her life PLEASE help her focus on just fighting and let us help her family get through this critical and uncertain time in their life.

Message from her sister, Charlyn Ciesco
My sister, Collet continues to fight this long battle with sepsis (bacteria in her sterile blood). She is still in the ICU in critical condition. We are realizing this is just the beginning of a long battle ahead. It is truly heartbreaking seeing my sister fighting for her life she is 38 years young, married with three young boys 12, 11 and 7 who don't know life without their mommy.

Message from her husband, Rommel dela Cruz
"Family and friends,I am respectfully asking for prayers for my Love Collet Dela Cruz as she fights the ultimate fight.. Battling an infection that started in her kidneys and now in her blood. Please pray for the ICU doctors and nurses who are caring for her to give their best. She is my family's everything, our rock and my strength. To all who have called with words of comfort, we thank you and appreciate it deeply. I love you Collet unconditionally and will be by your side always."

How did something so treatable become a battle for Collet's life?
On August 1, 2016 Collet and her husband, Rommel went to the ER with complaints of severe back pain and nausea. The doctor concluded that it was kidney stones and was told she would pass it through her urine and was sent home with medication. Unfortunately, the pain did not subside rather it worsened. On August 3rd, her very brave son Randen recognized his mommy needed immediate attention, so he called 911 and she was admitted to the ICU. From this moment on Collet began her battle against what started as a kidney infection (easily treated by antiobiotics) to fighting an infection in her blood (sepsis) and just August 7th she was diagnosed with Stephen Johnson Syndrome, which in itself is life-threatening and is scheduled to transfer to the burn unit at a prestigious hospital in San Francisco.

Our family is hopeful and praying for Collet's recovery and we thank everyone for their support as our family is being strong for her, you all are our strength. She is fighting fiercely at the new hospital. We will all pray and prosper through this tough time.
