During Kye's first semester in college, he lost his mom in an accident. While devastated by this loss, he continued and continues to work hard towards his goal of becoming a doctor. Not only does he attend classes during the day, he also works as a medical scribe in a busy emergency room and for a neurosurgeon with a busy practice. Though frequently worn out from working two jobs and 8-hour shifts before and after school, he still gives 110% on his classwork and attends school during summer and pre-sessions as well as regular sessions. His hard work is paying of as this fall he heads off to a university in Southern California where he will be majoring in psychology and pre-med. During Kye's first 2 years, he attended community college where he could get his prerequisites completed without having to take out big loans...he knows he will need to do that for medical school. As he heads to the university, he will not be able to put in as many work hours, and he is unstandably concerned about things like car payments, day-to-day living costs, and other expenses with the most pressing expense coming up soon being a required $1500.00 housing deposit. This is where YOU can help. All donations will go straight to Kye and be used to help him be able to reach his goal of becoming a doctor and honoring his mother's memory. Kye's mother was a senior in high schoo when he was born, but she stayed on the honor roll and graduated on time and then continued on in her education. Her dream was for her son to graduate from college and follow his dreams. Together we can help make Kye's, and his mother's, dreams come true. Thank you.
