We are raising funds to support a physically disabled young adult. Funds will go primarily towards either a manual or lightweight electric wheelchair and AFOs (ankle-foot orthotics). Any leftover funds will go towards other medical equipment such as medication and better quality forearm crutches.

Ren’s physical health has substantially deteriorated over the past two years and is currently dislocating joints daily, frequently fainting, and relies on inexpensive forearm crutches to get around. Even with the forearm crutches she currently has, she still has frequent falls, sprains, dislocations, and overall struggles to get around. She is unable to afford proper mobility aids, much less a wheelchair, and has no financial support from family.

Obtaining a wheelchair would mean she could experience much greater independence and the ability to actually go places without being in excruciating pain or risking dislocation or sprains. It would also mean being able to allocate energy towards tasks other than just constantly keeping herself upright.
