It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Tim Strickland on Saturday, November 29. We have all lost an amazing friend and a part of our community who impacted so many lives through his genuine passion (often focused on the Vols), lifelong mentorship, and unforgettable humor.

Unquestionably, Tim's family always came first. They were his reason for everything: his cherished wife and best friend of 23 years, Sara, and his absolute pride and joy, his two children, Addi and Stone. As we support Sara, Addi, and Stone through this immense loss, we want our efforts to reflect the deep and unconditional love Tim had for them.

Tim dedicated his career to making a difference, both inside the classroom and beyond. Whether you were fortunate enough to know him growing up in Lexington, through college or Grad School, as a beloved teacher who made science cool and fun, or as an administrator impacting the schools and ultimately the entire district, he has left a lasting impression on so many.

We can think of no better way to honor Tim and his enduring legacy within education than by supporting his children's future. We have established a College Fund for Addi and Stone to help secure their educational goals and honor the passion for learning that Tim inspired in everyone he met.

In lieu of flowers, we humbly ask for your support. Any contribution, big or small, will directly benefit Addi and Stone's future and serve as a living tribute to their father.

We are all heartbroken over Tim's passing, and we are deeply grateful for your kindness, support, and generosity during this difficult time. Thank you for helping us honor his memory.
