Please Help Fund Nikolas' College Dream
On Friday, April 24, 2020 Michele Riley Frey, age 50, entered heaven. Michele's death came as a sudden shock to her entire family. While she battled spina bifida and its related complications through her life, Michele always rebounded.
Upon hearing of Michele's rapid decline overnight on Thursday, April 23, Michele's family quickly gathered on Friday morning to say their goodbye wishes through a Zoom call with the amazing medical team at Jefferson Hospital Intensive Care Unit. In each of their messages, their love and appreciation was evident. On this call, her four sisters and parents promised to love and care for Michele's spouse John and her 17 year old son Nikolas.
The family has determined the most critical pressing need will be Nikolas' college education. Michele was a recipient of social security benefits that provided Nikolas a monthly stipend. This government assistance will be ending and will cause a financial hardship.
Nikolas is a bright young boy, who has shown amazing faith, resilience, adversity, and love through his entire life. Being the son of a disabled mom brought challenges; yet he has risen above these and is charting a bold plan for his future.
Let's please rally as a community to support Nikolas' dreams. This fund will be solely administered by his Aunt (Laura Thiele) with the purpose of supporting his educational endeavors.
We thank you for your generosity and continued support and prayers for our family at this difficult time.
