My name is Marta Cichon and I am an international student at Rhode Island College.
I am a very dedicated student who was able to receive a 3.5 GPA in the previous semester and my cumulative GPA is 3.54. I would like to add that English is my second language and, consequently, it takes more effort and hard work to achieve those results.
Additionally, in the 2018/2019 academic year, I was a part of a research project that was led by one of my Psychology professors. As a research assistant, I played a big part in designing the study and was responsible for communicating with the stakeholders and coordinating data collection every 8-10 weeks. I am very dedicated to this project and would be more than honored to continue working on it.
As an international student, my tuition is high and just got significantly raised. I cannot get any financial aid. I, also, couldn’t get a scholarship, that I was hoping for. Consequently, I do not think that I will be able to cover the cost of tuition. I am a Junior and close to getting my Psychology degree and considering the amount of time I have spent on studying and doing research, I would not want to resign because of the financial problems that I am currently experiencing. After I graduate, I would love to continue my education, get into Grad school and acquire the knowledge that can help me become a better psychologist.
I would greatly appreciate any help sharing or donating to this campaign.
Thank you so much!
