College Fund for Lilly & Maya Greene

A fund in memory of Crystal Greene (June 19, 1982 - August 7, 2022)

The world recently lost a beautiful and bright light of a person. Crystal was smart, creative, generous, dedicated, loyal, and deeply kind. Crystal was diagnosed with colon cancer in June 2022. She passed away on August 7, 2022 in the arms of Jacen, her true love of 20+ years. Crystal was an exceptional mother and was incredibly proud of her daughters. Crystal completed her Masters Degree in June 2022 and she spent her entire career working in education. Helping Lilly and Maya with their education is a special way to honor Crystal’s values and support her family.

Crystal’s last journal entry from her public journal: “I believe I am nearing the end of my road. And I am at peace. I have lived a full, rich, amazing life surrounded by love and beauty and joy. Who could ask for more? I have helped bring into this world two amazing young girls who will continue to spread light wherever they go. I have spent 20 wonderful years with the love of my life traveling, exploring, and learning how to grow into the best version of me. I have had work that allowed me to give back in ways that were both creative and meaningful. And I have been surrounded by loving friends and family who have supported me, encouraged me, and held me in love. I am deeply grateful for the life I have lived and for the role all of you have played in it. I do not know what the coming days will bring. But I am at peace. I am surrounded by love. And I send that love back out to all of you. Please know how precious you are to me.”

Should you wish to give to the Greene Family, this money will be used for future education expenses for Lilly and Maya.

There are many other ways to honor Crystal as well. Crystal loved hiking, travel, cooking, gardening, board games, animals, education, books, and art. She mostly loved being with her husband, daughters, family, and friends. Please think of her if you go for a hike, bake apple pancakes, plant a tree, or volunteer with a education-focused organization in your community.
