Alyssa's story...

After graduating  high school, I felt the Lord stir my heart with a passion for ministry abroad, nudging me to leave behind all plans of attending college. I took a gap year to do full-time ministry in Costa Rica.  While there, in 2016, the Lord spoke to me that I was to apply to Westmont College in Santa Barbara, CA.  In faith,  I did so, knowing it was completely outside of my budget. Yet the Lord provided and I attended Westmont for one year.  During that year, I was continuously amazed by God's goodness, provision and faithfulness.  I met life-long friends that are now ministry partners, as God began to build a spiritual community in Santa Barbara that has radically changed my life.

Unfortunately, I had to leave Westmont after that first year because my parents couldn’t afford it,  both being in full-time ministry.  I did not feel a release from the Lord to take out student loans, so I transferred to City College in Santa Barbara and for the next 2 years, I finished all of my required GE’s.  In the Spring of 2020, I felt the Lord strongly urging me back to Westmont -- knowing, once again, it was an impossibility from a financial perspective.  But in obedience, I transferred back.

Immediately, I was astounded by the Lord's blessing and favor, allowing all my credits to transfer and even providing me with much needed scholarships. In addition, Westmont gave me a grace period of two semesters before they required payment for my student bill.  I’ve totally lived by faith, relying on gifts from friends and family, plus the Lord’s miraculous provision for help with rent, gas, food, and all other living expenses during this last year. He continues to be so faithful. As a full-time student, I am able to work part-time, which helps.

By the miraculous hand of God, plus a lot of discipline and hard work, I am excited to say that I am on track to begin my final semester in January.  But as that grace period has expired, before I can even register on December 11th, I am expected to pay $8,000 of my balance ($18,000 total.)  This is a miracle in itself, as tuition is normally $70,000 per year at Westmont. I know this moment is just another platform for the Lord to reveal Himself through my journey.  I am humbled in my position before Him and very thankful for the opportunity to believe Him fully for provision.

Knowing it is His divine plan that I finish school at Westmont, I ask for your prayers and agreement for His perfect will to be fulfilled.  He gave me a heart for full-time ministry, yet I recognize it to be His will that I faithfully complete this portion of my education.

In addition,  I humbly ask for financial help.  Please prayerfully consider giving as the Lord would lead you.  No amount is too small or too large to be an incredible blessing of His goodness.  Words could not fully express my gratitude for any help I may receive.

I’M BELIEVING FOR A MIRACLE!!!
Regardless of how this manifests, HE IS STILL GOOD!
And He will be glorified!

May God bless you abundantly during his beautiful season!
