AVID is a program that helps prepare underserved students in our community for attending college.  Our students will be the first in their family to attend college! Many of the students also come from lower income households and immigrant families.  Applying for college is very stressful and the financial burden of the applications is always present on their minds.  It is also 2020 and their community has been hit with COVID as well as some families facing loss of work.  Not only that but the CSU Apply raised the cost from $55 an application to $70 an application this year!  We are raising money to help supplement the application fees for our families.  Some have earned waivers but many have not and are worried about where they will get the money to apply to college.  We have 50 seniors this year and our goal is to help them pay for 1-2 applications.  Thank you for any amount you can give! :)
