Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to ask for support for my amazing mom, who was diagnosed with leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer, in February of this year. Since her diagnosis, she’s endured several rounds of chemotherapy and is now undergoing surgery in preparation for radiation treatment.

My mom is a professional gardener—someone who not only finds joy in working with the earth but has made it her life’s work. Gardening has always been her passion, her therapy, and her livelihood. Unfortunately, the physical toll of this illness and treatment has left her unable to work for the past few months, and it’s been incredibly difficult for her to be away from what she loves and the community she serves.

Soon, she’ll be heading to Rochester, MN, where she’ll need to stay for three weeks to receive daily radiation treatments at Mayo Clinic. While we’re so thankful she’s getting the care she needs, the financial burden has been overwhelming—between medical bills, travel expenses, and the cost of an extended stay out of town.

We’re raising funds to help ease that burden so my mom can focus fully on healing and recovery. Every donation, no matter the size, will help cover medical expenses, temporary lodging, transportation, and day-to-day living costs while she’s away from home.
