Support Colleen Through Journey with Stage 4 Lung Cancer

We are asking for our community, loved ones and anyone able to give, to support this wonderful woman, our mom, and her family as she fights Stage 4 metastatic lung cancer which has spread to her liver and bone.

Colleen has four daughters and nine grandchildren and has given endless amounts of time, love and energy to them to make sure that they have all they need. In 2017 Colleen won her fight against triple negative Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She did this while managing the responsibilities of parenting a pre-teen, three adult daughters with weddings and growing families, along with supporting one of her daughters through mental health struggles.

She has alway put others before herself, from voluntarily taking custody of her grandchildren, to flying across the country to provide to support and child care for her daughter, to being there financially and emotionally with no questions asked countless times. She has given endless amounts of emotional support and time to all of her family and friends.

After years of dreaming of moving to Nova Scotia to be closer to some family and grandchildren it was about to become reality when she received her diagnosis. Then, with a week left until Christmas and awaiting the beginning of treatment, her husband was laid off due to restructuring.

We would like to be able to alleviate stressors such as cleaning, cooking and paying bills during treatment and while her husband actively looks for work. There are also costs

related to treatment such as parking, transportation and hotels.

Please help us to give back to Colleen after all she has given us, in being able to support her and family through treatment and to assist in fulfilling her dreams. Our aim is to eliminate as many stressors as possible to give her the best chance to heal and be with us for as long as possible.
