About a month ago my sister, Colleen ,found out that her Breast Cancer that she fought off in 2015 had returned.
As I write this, Colleen is in surgery to remove the two new tumors that have grown. The surgery is incredibly extensive and is expected to take up to 12 hours to perform. Following surgery she is expected to be in the ICU followed by a general recovery room. Recovery from the surgery is expected to take 6 weeks. She will then go on to receive further treatment. It is expected to be a years’ time before all treatment will be complete.
It goes without saying that Colleen will be unable to return to her job for quite some time. So, I’m asking in this hard time for anyone who is able to extend a loving hand. I’m hoping to raise enough funds that my sister can rest and heal without fear or worry of how she will pay her bills and survive financially. She needs 100% of her energy and determination to recover from the surgery and win the battle against cancer once and for all!
